Jessica A. Pauly is a Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Jessica Pauly received her B.A. in communication studies in 2007 from Nebraska Wesleyan University. She worked full time as merchandizing coordinator in New York City at Marcolin and then MARR International GROUP until 2011. She received her M.A. in communication studies in 2014 from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, working full-time in the Center for Civic and Social Responsibility. In 2018 she received her Ph.D. from the Brian Lamb School of Communication Studies at Purdue University
Jessica started teaching at UVU in the fall of 2018. She teaches courses in speech and communication. She uses qualitative methods to explore organizations, gender, and religion. She has been involved with Service Learning as a pedagogy to encourage students to become engaged citizens. Dr. Pauly is a prolific writer, having written a weekly feature for the Lawrence Journal World while maintaining her weekly blog Mrs. Mass.
Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska; Jessica enjoys baking pies, writing handwritten letters, and enjoying a walk with her husband, Matthew Pauly, and her dachshund Herbie.
